Catena explores what happens when this permanent medium is given the freedom to move. By carving solid blocks of marble and travertine into interlocking loops, the stone is stripped of its structural duty. It no longer holds up a wall or acts as a rigid slab; instead, it rests, drapes, and flows.

Two Mediums of the Earth Each piece is defined entirely by the raw character of its material. The White Marble option offers a cool, dense presence with subtle, unpredictable veining running through each link. The Travertine variant brings an earthy, porous texture—a tactile reminder of sedimentary layers formed over millennia. Hand-finished to a smooth matte texture, the surfaces invite touch, offering a cool, grounded sensation whenever handled.

An Ever-Changing Form Unlike fixed sculptures, Catena changes with its environment. Because the links are genuinely interconnected and free to move, the piece relies on you to find its final shape. You can drape it loosely over a stack of design books, let it curve naturally across a concrete console, or arrange the angular links of the geometric arch to catch the morning light.
